Skating Shopping and How to Tie Your Skates

- At Canadian Tire you will have to fit your own skates. To fit your skates remove the insole and stand on top of it with your heal tight to the back of the insole. There should be about a ¼ inch of space at the front of the insole when you are standing on it outside of the skate.
- At Canadian Tire the only skate to purchase is the Jackson Cameo (do not buy the soft tech version of this).

How to Tie Your Skates:
- Start at the bottom and work your way up pulling firmly on the laces. It should feel like the skate is giving the foot a tight hug.
- If tying figure skates utilize the hooks by crisscrossing the laces back and forth.
- Do NOTwrap laces around the ankle of your skater, if you have extra laces do a double bow so the skater doesn’t trip.
