Star Academy

Star Academy program is for young athletes coming out of the CanSkate program, who would like to purse recreational and Competitive figure skating. These athletes will be at the Star 1-2 level. Instruction will be in a small group format taught by Skate Canada Certified coaches. Ratio for instruction will be 10 students for every 1 coach. This program teaches basic figure skating skills, which will involve correct technique in fundamental skills such as edges, stroking, jumps, spins and musical interpretation. Star Academy will include a an off ice program that will improve balance, flexibility, strength and coordination.
